When you peek behind the curtains, the fashion industry is really pretty awful. No matter how much I love clothing and design, I didn't want to be a part of sweatshops or fast fashion.
So, I partnered with LeGaleriste, a small company in Montreal, Canada that has well paid seamstresses and uses vegan fabrics and water-based inks with a focus on recycled materials
All of the fabric designs are based on my mixed media Intentional Creativity ® paintings.
I started the process of painting prayers during the stay-at-home phase of the Covidean era when the world seemed like it needed all the positive energy it could use, and frankly, I didn't have a lot of nice words. So, I painted.
Each one was a process of self-connection and discovery, layered with stories, dreams, memories, hopes, prayers and love.
I combined my loves of art and fashion by creating these collections of clothing, accessories and home goods, and doing my best to make sure that they are made ethically and in alignment with the kind of world I want to help create. (No fast fashion and cheap cr*p)
