People stray from the norm and consider jumping off the educational treadmill for all kinds of reasons.
Whether you're one of the many families who are suddenly struggling with crisis schooling and distance "learning", or just curious about options for next year, know that you have options.
These are strange days indeed, and if there's anything we can learn (and teach our kids) it's how important it is to be flexible and adapt.
The good news is, learning outside the box can be a lot more fun and less stressful than most people make it! You might have more choices than you think!
However you arrived here, with some creative thinking, you'll see the learning opportunities all around in everyday life.
Homeschooling actually can and should be enjoyable for both YOU and your kids!
Your child's education shouldn't be stressful, boring or involve staring at screens all day~
That's just miserable for everyone and it's doubtful that anyone actually learns anything long-term under those circumstances anyway.
This is a time for creative thinking and new solutions.
The world is collectively dealing with a lot these days~
Let's find ways to make things easier on you and your kids.
Whatever today looked like, give your kids a hug and yourself a break~ You're doing a great job!
Almost everyone is figuring it out as they go right now, but one thing I know FOR SURE is that education can be interactive, hands on, interest based and FUN!
One of the things that most helped my family find our way on our Homeschool Adventure was being surrounded by wonderful & wise people who showed us a wide variety of ways to happily make it work.
I'd love to introduce you....
So, I'm hosting a series of very informal video chats with some of the awesome seasoned homeschooling mamas I know to share their experience.
I believe that seeing options offers hope. You can find what works for YOU and YOUR FAMILY. It doesn't have to look like someone else's version.
One size does not fit all~ in education or life!
This video features one of my favorite mentors and experienced homeschooling mom extraordinaire~ Erin Friedman.
She's the mother of 3 fun and functional adult kids, founder of Redding HomeSchool Network and half of the band Still Married.
It's all about enjoying the life learning journey from a couple of moms who made it out to the other side of homeschooling.
Grab your favorite beverage and have a watch or have a listen!
This one is for all you working mamas out there~
My friend Robin Fator is a successful creative business woman AND homeschooling mom who knows how to Get it Together!
She even wrote a book about it!
We chatted up a storm about the ebbs and flows and working while educating your offspring~ I'll be uploading it soon!
